As a lifelong Jill of many trades, I’ve built a career at the intersection of creativity, technology, and problem solving. My early work included creative writing, copywriting, graphic design, photography, video editing, animation, and full website development. That foundation still shapes how I approach projects today.
I earned my Associate of Arts in General Studies with an emphasis in Graphic Arts from Cowley College in 2006. Years later, I returned to higher education with a broader vision and completed my Bachelor of Science in Interdisciplinary Studies in 2020, blending marketing, sociology, and digital strategy. Recently, I added a graduate certificate in Business Analytics, and I am currently exploring the option of extending that work into a full master’s degree to deepen my expertise in data, systems, and organizational problem solving.
Professionally, I have transitioned from creative freelancing into information technology, supporting school district systems, troubleshooting complex issues, improving workflows, and building practical solutions that keep operations running smoothly. My small business clients have tapered off, mostly because some forgot how paying invoices works, but the shift into IT has opened a path where my analytical skills and creative background work together.
On the personal side, life continues to evolve. My daughter, once the energetic 13-year-old mentioned in my old bio, is now an adult preparing for her own adventure as she heads to college. Co-parenting has settled into a steady rhythm that keeps things running smoothly for her and allows the rest of life to move forward without friction. I’ve built a blended family with my partner, who comes from a military background as well. Between his four kids (including one currently serving in the Navy), my daughter, and two “bonus kids” who rotate through the house like beloved NPCs, our home is lively, supportive, and never dull.
Through all of it, I am still looking for opportunities that let me do what I have always loved most: a little bit of everything.
